Combining gold and black requires the use of a unique material we have adopted from the scientific and medical world. It combines the exotic pure element zirconium with a secondary portion of rose, yellow or white gold (9ct rose gold pictured) in a seamless blend of dissimilar metals. It requires calculation, precise manual machining, hand finishing and multiple heat treatment processes.

It is a 6mm wide band, 5mm black zirconium with a 1mm trim of gold which continues on the inside of the ring. The gold is a solid machined ring, there are no solder joints. It’s solid gold, not a plating and won’t wear off. The parts are precisely and tightly fitted together. The outer diameter of the ring has a brushed finish on both the black zirconium and gold sections.

The side walls and the interior of the ring are given a high polish. The end result is an absolutely stunning effect of light and dark that will stand the test of time in terms of durability and design. Black zirconium is a metal that has had its surface converted into an extremely durable black ceramic layer and is highly resistant to wear and tear.
