Black zirconium rings. Made in Melbourne.

Innovative design always develops in tandem with innovative technology - Dieter Rams

How are they made?

  • We acquire high grade 702 pure zirconium bar and lab test it to ensure quality is controlled.

It is then machined in-house with our computerised lathe to your desired shape and specifications

  • It then moves onto hand-finishing to achieve the desired shine or lack thereof.

  • If requested, it is engraved.

  • We then bake it in a precision quartz tube furnace to form the ceramic oxide layer in the perfect thickness for extreme durability.

The ceramic layer that forms on zirconium through this process is extremely durable.

While it isn’t “scratch-proof”, it will resist most daily wear and tear. Most importantly the ceramic layer will not thin and fade over time.
