Combining gold and black requires the use of a unique material we have adopted from the scientific and medical world. The outer diameter of the ring is made with pure zirconium into which a liner of rose, yellow or white gold (9ct rose gold pictured) is fitted. It requires precise manual machining, hand finishing and multiple heat treatment processes.

The pictured ring is 6mm in width and showcases the 9ct rose gold option. The gold is a solid machined component, taking up half the thickness of the ring. It’s solid gold, not a plating. The parts are machined to a tight tolerance and are pressed together, they will not separate.

The outer diameter of the ring has a brushed finish with polished bevels. The side walls and the interior of the ring are given a high polish.

The end result is an absolutely stunning effect of light and dark that will stand the test of time in terms of durability and design.

Includes 3D printed sizing rings

Upon ordering your ring, you have the choice to request a set of sizing rings to determine your size at home. These are 3D printed on demand and express posted to you at no extra charge. This way we can be confident that your custom made ring will fit accurately from the start.

Melbourne based showroom

In addition to our online store, we have a showroom located in Yarraville, Melbourne. Bookings are available on weekends, and walk-ins on weekdays. In store, we have a wide range of rings on display in various metals. Custom designs can also be discussed.

Lifetime Warranty

Our rings are designed to last. All rings come with a lifetime warranty that will cover workmanship defects. Wedding rings are subjected to considerable wear, tear and abrasion during normal wearing. Uniform Black cannot guarantee the durable life of any surface finish, but we offers a re-finishing service free of charge. Black zirconium is the only exception and cannot be re-finished.
